GOOD QUESTIONS. HERE ARE HONEST ANSWERS.

  • Glad you asked because we get this question a lot, and the answer is simple. We're not here to replace any of the legacy Jewish nonprofits. We work alongside them. Think of Bridgewell Arts as the connective tissue between the Jewish communal world and the visual art world — two ecosystems that have enormous overlap in values, audiences, and ambitions. Our founder spent 25 years at Christie's, Phillips, and Artsy before co-chairing the ADL New York Volunteer Advisory Board. That combination — art market fluency plus Jewish institutional credibility — is what makes this work possible. We don't just advocate. We curate, convene, educate, and build.

  • Donations to Bridgewell Arts' programs are tax-deductible. Here's how it works: Bridgewell Arts operates its charitable programs under the fiscal sponsorship of Jewish Creativity International (JCI), a registered 501(c)(3) organization. That means gifts made in support of our programs — including the Hostage Tag Project — are processed through JCI and are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

We’re not a standalone nonprofit, but our legal structure allows us to work on philanthropic initiatives and accept tax-deductible donations. It's a model that keeps us nimble and accountable, with every philanthropic dollar going directly to programs.

  • Donations are processed through our fiscal sponsor, Jewish Creativity International (JCI). You can give directly through our dedicated JCI page. We cap our overhead at 15%, so the vast majority of every gift goes directly to programming.

If you're interested in funding a specific initiative — a salon, a webinar series, a pop-up exhibition, or the Hostage Tag Project — please contact us and we'll direct your gift exactly where you want it.

  • Three things, done well.

We Connect — bringing together collectors, curators, artists, and cultural institutions through salons, cross-cultural mixers, Israeli artist studio visits, and pop-up exhibitions that celebrate Jewish and Israeli creativity alongside the non-Jewish artists and allies who want to be part of building a more vibrant, inclusive art world.

We Educate — partnering with museums, galleries, and cultural institutions that want to foster more inclusive programming and a deeper appreciation of Jewish and Israeli artistic traditions. Through toolkits, webinars, and consulting, we inform and inspire rather than prescribe.

We Support — creating a hub for Jewish and Israeli artists, curators, and creatives, and for the institutions and individuals who champion them. A space for meaningful connections, collaborations, and activations that celebrate what this community brings to the broader cultural conversation.

If you'd like to know more about any specific program, the Contact page is right there.

  • We are intentionally location-fluid. Rather than maintaining a fixed space, we activate in partnership with galleries, museums, community centers, and cultural institutions across New York City and beyond. Our programs happen where the community already gathers — which means our reach is broader, our overhead is leaner, and our collaborators get to host something genuinely interesting.

  • Featured Artists are by-invitation only, selected based on the depth of their practice, the urgency of their voice, and the relevance of their work to the conversations Bridgewell Arts exists to advance. We prioritize artists whose work engages with identity, memory, resistance, and belonging — and whose voices deserve wider institutional attention.
