Jewish and Israeli artists have always been central to the global art story. From the Impressionists to Abstract Expressionists and contemporary voices working today, their contributions have shaped how the world sees, feels, and thinks. Bridgewell Arts exists to make sure that story continues, and that the artists writing the next chapter have the community, the platforms, and the connections they deserve.
We were founded on a simple observation: the art world has enormous power — relationships, platforms, cultural authority, access to wealth — and there is an opportunity to channel that power toward building a more inclusive, cross-cultural creative ecosystem. Not through combat or confrontation, but through genuine connection. Between Jewish and non-Jewish artists. Between institutions and communities. Between the art world and the wider Jewish creative ecosystem it has not always known how to reach.
We are not a reaction to a single moment. We are infrastructure connecting galleries, museums, collectors, curators, and institutions with the Jewish creative community in ways that are lasting, meaningful, and mutually enriching. Built for the long term. Built to last.
Our Founder
Shlomi Rabi has spent 25 years at the center of the global art market — as VP and Head of Photographs at Christie's, Head of Sale at Phillips, VP and Global Head of Auctions at Artsy, and Greenhouse Auctions, an online benefit auction platform that was acquired by Artsy within two years of launch.
In parallel, Shlomi has spent more than a decade as a leader in New York's Jewish communal ecosystem — as Co-Chair of the ADL New York Activist Group, a fifteen-year member of AFIM, a UJA Federation volunteer, and a board member of the Arts Funders Forum. In March 2026, he co-moderated "From Gallery to Museum: Dismantling Antisemitism in the Arts" at ADL's Never Is Now Summit — the first volunteer-moderated panel in the summit's ten-year history, and one of three sessions selected for live streaming from a field of twenty-four.
Bridgewell Arts is the convergence of those two lives. Israeli-born, a native Hebrew speaker, and a personal collector of works by emerging artists, Shlomi brings genuine fluency in both the art world and the Jewish communal world, and the relationships to move between them with ease.
